SEL is the commercial agent for the "ANZ Championship" trans-Tasman netball series. The ANZ Championship features the best players from the World's top two Netball nations, Australia and New Zealand as well as players from Jamaica. Now in its third year, 10 teams (five from each country) play elite level matches within Australia and New Zealand over a 17 week period from April to July each year. The ANZ Championship has replaced the Australian and New Zealand domestic leagues and has significantly increased the professionalism and exposure for Netball in general.
Ten/One HD in Australia and Sky Sports in New Zealand broadcast each of the 69 ANZ Championship matches live or as-live each year. This is the biggest television broadcast deal for women's sport in the Southern Hemisphere with a total of 1,000+ hours of television broadcast across Australasia made up of live/as-live coverage, match replays, magazine programs and sport reports.
The ANZ Championship goes from strength to strength and 2012 will be as exciting as ever.
